Dr. Bob Jackman - Veterinarian
Dr. Bob Jackman graduated Milroy High School in 1961, he went on to college at Purdue University, where he graduated with his Doctorates degree in Veterinary Medicine. He is an associate veterinarian of Jackman Animal Clinic, P.C. in Milroy, IN and owner of Jackman Farms. He also operates a contract finishing hog unit for Prema Lean Pork. His wife Karen of 47 years and his two sons Dr. Rob Jackman and Nathan Jackman support him. He is the proud grandfather of Crosby, Courtney, Cameron, Emilee, and Luke.
Besides being a veterinarian, Dr. Bob has also served in the Indiana State Senate (Republican) for a total of 12 years for District 42, which serves Decatur, Fayette, Franklin, Rush, and Shelby counties. He is also involved in plenty of Civic Activities ranging from the A.V.M.A., I.V.M.A., 10th District I.V.M.A., to Milroy United Methodist Church, Milroy Community Club, Milroy Masonic Lodge #139, Rushville Elks Lodge #1307, and Rush Co. School Building Corporation. In 2002 Dr. Bob received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Purdue School of Veterinary Science and Medicine. Dr. Rob Jackman - Veterinarian/Owner
Dr. Robert T. Jackman grew up in the Jackman Animal Clinic. Dr. Rob graduated from Rushville Consolidated High School in 1988 before attending Purdue University for his under graduate class work and veterinary school. After veterinary school, Dr. Rob worked in Liberty for one year and then returned to Milroy and joined his father in practice at the Jackman Animal Clinic. Dr. Rob leads a busy life with his wife, Tammy and two children Crosby and Courtney. Dr. Rob is very active in the local community and is involved in organizations ranging from the Milroy Community Club, Milroy Economic Development Committee, Anderson Township Volunteer Fire Department.
Dr. Rob's involvement in the veterinary community is just as diverse. He is a member of the AVMA, IVMA, AABP, AASP, and past president of the 10th district IVMA, past board member of the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine Admissions Committee, and Indiana Association of Swine Practitioners. Dr. Kayla Baird - Veterinarian
Dr. Kayla Baird grew up on her family’s farm in Wadesville, Indiana. She was a 10 year 4-H member and member of the National FFA Organization. Prior to college, she spent a year serving the Indiana FFA Association as the State Secretary. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Purdue University and then went on to get her veterinary degree from Purdue’s College of Veterinary Medicine. While in veterinary school, she represented Purdue in the SAVMA House of Delegates and then was elected to the National Executive Board as the Communications and Public Relations Officer.
Dr. Kayla is a member of the AVMA, IVMA, and AABP. She enjoys working with livestock as well as dogs and cats. She has a special interest in dairy and beef cattle medicine and reproduction. She married her husband, Jared, in September 2020. She has a cat, Charlotte, and a dog, Hank. In Dr. Kayla's spare time, she likes being outside. You might see her on a bike or running on a country road. Both Dr. Kayla and her husband enjoy spending their weekends helping on their family farms.
